Is the PAP Multilayer Plumbing System Reliable?

Introduction

The polyethylene-aluminum composite pipe is also called the PAP multilayer pipe. Polyethylene is a non-toxic and odor-free plastic with good impact resistance and corrosion resistance. The welded aluminum alloy in the middle layer makes the pipe have the advantages of metal. Hence, the pipe is easy to bend but can stay in place after forming. Currently, the aluminum-plastic composite pipe with excellent performance becomes the model of a new generation of pipes.

What is RIIFO Multilayer Pipe?

RIIFO Multilayer Pipe is composed of a five-layer structure consisting of inner and outer layers of polyethylene, a middle layer of overlap-welded or butt-welded aluminum and two layers of adhesive between the aluminum layers and the polyethylene layers. According to different materials of the outer layer and the inner layer, we produce three categories of PAP multilayer pipes including Pipe A, Pipe B, and Pipe B1. The outer and inner layers of Pipe A are HDPE, the high-density polyethylene, so we also call it RIIFO HDPE-AL-HDPE Composite Pipe. The outer and inner layers of Pipe B are PERT, polyethylene of raised temperature resistance. Those of Pipe B1 are PEX, crosslinked polyethylene. As RIIFO HDPE-AL-HDPE Composite Pipe, RIIFO PERT-AL-PERT Composite Pipe and RIIFO PEX-AL-PEX Composite Pipe are made of different materials, their performance and applications are also different.

Why is the RIIFO Multilayer Pipe suitable for Plumbing?

Advantages of the RIIFO PAP Multilayer Pipe

RIIFO PAP Multilayer Pipe combines the advantages of metal pipes and plastic pipes. Compared with metal pipes, it has excellent corrosion resistance. Compared with plastic pipes, it has high temperature resistance and aging resistance. It also has excellent long-term hygienic performance. With an outer layer of PEX/PERT and welded aluminum in the middle layer, RIIFO Multilayer Pipe can isolate oxygen and light, so it can effectively prevent bacteria growth in the water. As we all know, the coefficient of the thermal expansion of metal pipes is lower than that of other pipes, which means it is not easy to be deformed by the temperature variation. Hence, compared with plastic pipes, the multilayer pipe with the welded-aluminum layer is not easy to be deformed when the pipe is installed in the wall or underground. The last advantage is its weight. Compared with the metal pipe, it is much lighter, so it is more convenient to deliver and install. As it can stay in place after being bent, fewer fittings are required when doing an installation to reduce the risk of leakage and pressure loss.

How to pick appropriate RIIFO PAP Multilayer Pipes for different applications?

According to the requirements of ISO21003, we divide our multilayer pipes into 4 classes, including Class1, Class2, Class4 and Class5. They are used under different conditions. For example, the PAP multilayer pipe in class1 is mainly used to supply 60-degree hot water, and its service lifespan is up to 50 years. In other words, the pipe can be used in the 60-degree hot water supply for 49 years, the 80-degree hot water supply for 1 year and the 95-degree hot water for 100 hours. The entire service life is nearly 50 years. In addition, the pipes in each class have different pressure required, such as 4 bar, 6 bar,8 bar and 10 bar.

What fittings are available in the RIIFO Multilayer Plumbing System?

RIIFO provides three types of fitting, including compression fittings, press fittings and push fittings. Based on the pressing profiles, the number of O rings and their functions, these fittings are divided into 5 types. The most obvious difference among various types of fittings is the pressing profiles. For example, the pressing profile of F5 and F8 is U profile, and F8 fitting has leakage indication but F5 doesn't have. We also have fittings allowing for the TH pressing profile and the multi-jaw profile. These three types of fittings allow for using different installation tools or different functions.

What valves are available in the RIIFO Multilayer Plumbing System?

In addition to the fittings we have mentioned above, we also provide manifolds and valves. According to different materials and structures, we have 5 types of manifolds. As for valves, we have ball valves, gate valves, stop valves, check valves and filter valves. Based on the differences in the handle and structure, the ball valve is divided into 3 types. They are ordinary ball valves, polished mini ball valves and red-butterfly handle ball valves.

What certification does RIIFO PAP Multilayer Plumbing System obtain?

With high quality, safety and hygiene, RIIFO PAP Multilayer Plumbing System has obtained many world-class certifications like NSF, DVGW, ACS, WARS, etc. And the System meets the below standards: EN ISO 21003, ASTM F1281, DVGW W 534 (P), DVGW W 542, DVGW W 270, KTW-BWGL, UBA ELASTOM, AS 4176.2 & 3, XP P41-250, NSF /ANSI /CAN 61, BS 6920, CSA B137.10, and IS 15450.

Who is the greatest manufacturer of PAP Multilayer Plumbing System?

To offer a more hygienic alternative, RIIFO has launched the multilayer pipes since 1997. They are composed of high-quality materials, meet the highest quality standards and are resistant to high temperatures, pressure and corrosion. Since its inception, RIIFO has greatly improved people's indoor plumbing habits and pushed the plumbing and heating world to higher standards and codes. In 2018, RIIFO became the world's largest multilayer pipe manufacturer. RIIFO will keep providing a safer, healthier, and more reliable piping system to everyone globally.
