Cut
Cut the tubing vertically and precisely with a tubing cutter.

Place expansion ring
Choose the appropriate size expansion ring and place it onto the end of the tubing.

Expand
Using an approved manual or cordless expansion tool, slide the tubing onto the tool head until it stops. Expand until the tubing/sleeve are snug with the expander tool.
Note: Ensure to stop and rotate tubing 1/8 turn between expansions if using a manual tool or a battery tool without automatic rotation.

Insert the fitting
Remove the tool from the tubing and sleeve. Immediately insert the F1960 Cold Expansion Fitting into the expanded tubing until its shoulder touches the sleeve end.

Fully sealed
Tubing may take up to two minutes to fully seal around the fitting. Twist the fitting to ensure the ring is fully sealed.
